You’ve Built a Life That Might Look Good. But Doesn’t Feel Right

Somatic Therapy and Integrative Mental Health Support in West Palm Beach

Online Mind-Body Therapy for Stress, Anxiety, and Trauma

On the outside, it looks like you’re holding it all together.

But inside, it feels like you’re holding your breath, waiting for something to give.

Maybe you’re sleeping poorly, stuck in cycles of overthinking, or feeling tension that never lets up. You snap at people you care about or pull away when what you really want is connection. And no matter how much you push through, it’s getting harder to keep going this way.

I work with adults in West Palm Beach who are tired of surface-level coping and ready for something deeper. Somatic therapy offers that kind of support. It helps you work with your nervous system instead of fighting it, so you can feel more steady, more connected, and more able to live the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

When Self-Care Isn’t Cutting It

You’ve tried the breathing exercises, the mindset shifts, the calming routines. Maybe they helped for a moment. But when the tension comes back, when your body stays braced or you get easily triggered, your nervous system needs more support.

For many people, trauma is part of this. Old survival responses can show up as panic, shutdown, anger, or numbness, even when life looks fine on the surface.

Somatic therapy makes space for both your body and your emotions. We slow down enough to notice what’s happening in both, so stress and trauma responses can settle and healing can take root.

With this work, you can:

  • Shift out of fight-or-flight without having to power through

  • Notice your body’s signals sooner instead of overriding them

  • Ease stress, hypervigilance, and looping thoughts

  • Feel more steady and present, even when life is full

This approach brings body, mind, and emotions together so you can feel more connected to yourself and live in a way that reflects your values.

Hi, I’m Amy.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Certified Integrative Mental Health Therapist, offering online therapy for adults in West Palm Beach and across Florida.

I’m really glad you’re here.

I work with people who are worn out from holding it all together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or disconnected inside. If you’ve tried the breathing, the reframing, or even staying grateful, but your body is still carrying the stress, this work offers something different.

Together, we slow down enough to notice what your nervous system is needing in the moment. We bring in the body alongside your thoughts and emotions, so you can process what’s been stuck and begin to heal.

The goal isn’t just short-term relief. This work creates space for deeper healing and lasting change, so you can feel more steady, more connected, and better able to live in line with what matters to you.

If you’re looking for therapy that includes the body as well as the mind, I’m here to support you.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a mind-body approach that helps you tune into how stress and past experiences are stored in your body, not just in your thoughts. It supports your nervous system by slowing things down and listening to what your body needs to feel safer and more supported.

It can be especially helpful if you:

  • Feel overwhelmed or unsettled, even when things seem fine on the surface

  • Notice yourself shutting down or becoming reactive under stress

  • Have tried talk therapy but found it only helped to a point

  • Feel stress in your body, like tension, pain, fatigue, or shallow breathing

Somatic therapy goes beyond easing symptoms in the moment. It supports healing at the root, builds resilience, and creates lasting change so you can feel more connected to yourself and your life.

In our work together, we might use Somatic Experiencing (SE), the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), or the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), depending on what your system needs most.

Integrative Support That Helps You Feel More Like Yourself

As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I take a whole-person approach to therapy - one that respects the way your nervous system, body, and daily rhythms all interact.

Sometimes we’re not just reacting to stress in the moment. We’re carrying layers of depletion, disconnection, or overdoing that have built up slowly. An integrative approach helps us look at the full picture of how you’re doing—without judgment or pressure to fix everything.

In our work together, this integrative approach might include:

  • Exploring how your energy, sleep, or stress patterns are affecting your ability to feel grounded

  • Identifying small, supportive shifts in your routine or environment that make things feel more manageable

  • Bringing awareness to what your body has been trying to communicate

This is a thoughtful, collaborative process, not one more thing you have to figure out alone. The goal is to create more ease, more clarity, and more connection with the version of you that’s been waiting underneath all the pressure.
