You’ve been holding things together for a long time, but the cracks are starting to show. Maybe you’re quick to react, shutting down, or overwhelmed by emotions that feel too big. You push through, try to keep going, but the tension in your body doesn’t ease, and the deeper pain keeps resurfacing.

You might have tried therapy before. It helped a little, gave you insight, maybe a few tools. But it didn’t reach the places where the hurt still lives.

I work with adults in West Palm Beach who are ready for something deeper. Somatic therapy helps you bring your body into the healing process so change doesn’t just stay in your head. With the right support, it becomes possible to feel more steady, more connected, and more resilient in how you move through life.

When Pushing Through Stops Working

You’ve been doing your best to keep going. Maybe you’ve stayed busy, avoided what felt too painful to face, or tried a few things that were supposed to help. But the tension is still there. The emotional pain still catches you off guard. And your body hasn’t been able to fully settle.

Eventually, you realize that something needs to change. That avoiding what keeps coming up isn’t working anymore. You don’t need more pressure to cope better. You need a space to actually face what you’ve been carrying, and support that helps you do that in a way that feels safe and manageable.

Somatic therapy gives you that space. We slow down and listen to what your body and emotions have been holding, so you can begin to respond instead of react, and start to feel like you have more capacity for what life brings.

With this kind of support, you can:

  • Shift out of survival mode without powering through

  • Recognize what your body is asking for before things build up

  • Ease the grip of stress, looping thoughts, or emotional intensity

  • Feel more grounded and steady, even when life is full

This somatic and integrative approach brings body, mind, and emotions together so you can feel more connected to yourself and live in a way that reflects your values.

About Me

Hi, I’m Amy.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Certified Integrative Mental Health Therapist, offering online therapy for adults in West Palm Beach and across Florida.

I’m really glad you’re here.

I work with people who are worn out from holding it all together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or disconnected inside. If you’ve spent a long time pushing through and trying to manage on your own, and previous therapy hasn’t touched the deeper patterns, this work offers something different.

Together, we slow down enough to notice what your nervous system is needing in the moment. We bring in the body alongside your thoughts and emotions, so you can process what’s been stuck and begin to heal.

The goal isn’t just short-term relief. This work creates space for deeper healing and lasting change, so you can feel more steady, more connected, and better able to live in line with what matters to you.

If you’re looking for an integrative therapy that includes the body as well as the mind, I’m here to support you.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a mind-body approach that helps you tune into how stress and past experiences are stored in your body, not just in your thoughts. It supports your nervous system by slowing things down and listening to what your body needs to feel safer and more supported.

It can be especially helpful if you:

  • Feel overwhelmed or unsettled, even when things seem fine on the surface

  • Notice yourself shutting down or becoming reactive under stress

  • Have tried talk therapy but found it only helped to a point

  • Feel stress in your body, like tension, pain, fatigue, or shallow breathing

Somatic therapy goes beyond easing symptoms in the moment. It supports healing at the root, builds resilience, and creates lasting change so you can feel more connected to yourself and your life.

In our work together, we might use Somatic Experiencing (SE), the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), or the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), depending on what your system needs most.

A sound-based approach that helps your body settle into a calmer rhythm, especially when you’ve been stuck in overdrive or worn down by exhaustion. It supports deep rest and makes it easier to notice what your body needs to recover.

Integrative Support for Your Daily Life and Well‑Being

Somatic work doesn’t happen in a vacuum. How you sleep, how you eat, how much pressure you’re under—these things all affect your nervous system and shape how you feel in your body. That’s why I also offer integrative support as part of therapy, so we can look at the full picture of what might be affecting your capacity and your healing.

What is integrative mental health therapy?

Integrative mental health therapy takes a whole-person view of your well-being. It considers how your emotions, nervous system, and physical body are connected, and how daily patterns like sleep, nutrition, movement, and rhythm all play a role in how you feel and function.

When your mental and emotional health is struggling, it’s often harder to take care of your body. And when your body isn’t getting what it needs, like enough sleep, steady nourishment, or time to reset, it can make anxiety, low mood, or reactivity even harder to manage. This kind of stress builds slowly, and over time it can take a toll on your capacity, clarity, and energy.

As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I gently bring this lens into our work together. That might look like exploring patterns in your sleep or energy, identifying small supportive shifts in your routine, or noticing what your body has been trying to communicate. If needed, I may suggest additional resources or referrals to practitioners who can support you in specific areas, like nutrition or functional health.

This is a collaborative process. There’s no pressure to change everything at once. We simply begin to look at what’s no longer working and explore what might help you feel more supported in your life, not just in moments of stress, but in how you move through your days.
