You’ve Been Pushing Through, but It’s Getting Harder to Ignore

Somatic Therapy and Integrative Mental Health Support in Fort Lauderdale

Holistic Support for When Stress Lives in Both Body and Mind

If you’re keeping up on the outside but feeling worn down inside, you’re not alone. Stress builds up, and eventually your body carries the weight in ways you can’t ignore.

Maybe you feel tense, restless, or shut down, like your system is always on edge. You might snap without meaning to, pull away when you want closeness, or find yourself running on empty no matter how much you try to rest.

I work with adults in Fort Lauderdale who are tired of powering through and ready for something more supportive.

Somatic therapy helps you slow down, listen to what your body is telling you, and respond in ways that bring relief, steadiness, and a stronger sense of connection. Together, we’ll work toward healing that lasts, so life feels less like a constant push and more like something you can fully step into.

When the Usual Strategies Aren’t Enough

You’ve been doing your best to manage the stress. Maybe it’s breathing exercises, journaling, reframing your thoughts, or trying to keep things in perspective. And sometimes they help for a little while. But when the tension always comes back, or your body still feels on edge, it’s a sign that more support is needed.

Somatic therapy gives us space to slow down and notice how stress is showing up in both your body and emotions. Instead of just coping, we work directly with your nervous system so it can begin to settle. This is a slower, steadier kind of work that meets you where you are and supports real healing.

With this approach, many people find it easier to:

  • Step out of survival mode without having to push through

  • Notice what their body needs and actually respond to it

  • Release built-up tension and constant overthinking

  • Feel more present and steady, even in the middle of a full life

This kind of therapy creates space for both mind and body to recalibrate. It helps you feel less consumed by stress and more connected to what matters.

If you’re in Fort Lauderdale or anywhere in Florida and you’re ready for something deeper, I’d be honored to support you.

Fort Lauderdale Mind-Body Therapist

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Certified Integrative Mental Health Therapist, offering online therapy for adults in Fort Lauderdale and throughout Florida.

I’m really glad you’re here.

I work with people who are used to handling a lot but are starting to feel the cost of always keeping it together. If you’ve been managing, showing up, and doing everything you’re supposed to, yet still feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or weighed down inside, I want you to know that it makes sense.

My work focuses on what your nervous system is holding, while also making space for your emotions and thoughts. Together, we slow down enough to listen to what your mind and body are asking for, so you can feel more supported, more at ease in your body, and more connected to yourself and the life you want.

If you’re looking for therapy that includes the body as well as the mind, I’m here to support you.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a mind–body approach that helps you work with stress at its root. Many of my clients already understand what’s bothering them, but their body still reacts as if the danger hasn’t passed. This work slows things down so we can notice what your nervous system is holding and give it the support it needs to settle.

Somatic therapy can be especially helpful if you:

  • Know the reasons for your stress but still find yourself on edge or unable to relax

  • Notice that small things spark big reactions, leaving you snapping or withdrawing

  • Feel like you’re running on empty, even after rest or self-care

  • Sense tension, heaviness, or restlessness in your body that doesn’t let up

In therapy, we focus on both body and emotions. You’ll have space to talk through what’s happening, while also learning to notice and respond to your body’s cues in real time.

Our work always includes Somatic Experiencing (SE), with the option of adding the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) or Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) if that feels supportive. Together, these approaches create more capacity, so you can move through life with steadiness and relief that lasts.

Whole-Health Support That Goes Beyond Talk

When your body is stuck in survival mode, it’s not just your emotions that are affected. You might be sleeping poorly, relying on caffeine to get through the day, skipping meals without realizing it, or feeling wired but exhausted by the time you slow down. It can feel like your system is working against you.

As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I help you explore how stress may be affecting not just your mood, but also your energy, digestion, immunity, and ability to recover.

In addition to somatic therapy, we may look at the following through an integrative approach to mental health:

  • Patterns in sleep, eating, and movement that are impacting your capacity

  • How nervous system dysregulation may be tied to hormonal shifts, inflammation, or nutrient depletion

  • Small, sustainable changes that support your physical and emotional well-being without adding pressure

You don’t have to overhaul your life. We’ll take a collaborative, curiosity-based approach that meets you where you are and helps your system feel more supported from the inside out.
