You Don’t Have to Keep Pushing Through on Your Own
Somatic Therapy for Adults in Florida
Online Mind-Body Support
When your mind and body are both overwhelmed, talk therapy on its own often isn’t enough.
You know what’s bothering you. That hasn’t stopped the spiral, the reactivity, or the heaviness in your body.
Maybe you shut down in conversation, snap at someone you care about, or carry tension and pain that never seem to let up.
You want more than coping.
I work with adults across Florida who are looking for a therapy that includes the body as well as thoughts and emotions.
Whether you’re living with anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, or the constant pressure of holding it all together, somatic therapy helps your nervous system find more steadiness. With support, you can feel more present, more resilient, and more connected to yourself and the people in your life.
Body-Based Therapy for Adults in Florida Who Are Tired of Pushing Through
Whether you’re working long hours, caring for others, or simply trying to keep everything together, the pressure adds up. On the outside, you look like you’re managing. Inside, it feels draining and hard to sustain.
Somatic therapy gives your mind and body the chance to slow down, release what’s been building, and find steadier ways to handle stress. It’s support that helps you feel relief now while also building resilience for the challenges ahead.
As we do this work, you can experience both relief and lasting changes such as:
Feeling more in control of your reactions
Understanding what you need instead of shutting down
Releasing stress and tension that your body has been holding
Showing up with more clarity and confidence

Florida Mind-Body Therapist
Hi, I’m Amy.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), offering online somatic therapy for adults across Florida.
I’m really glad you’re here.
I work with people who are successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stretched thin inside. Many have done a lot of inner work already, yet their body still carries stress and reactions that don’t shift with talking alone.
Somatic therapy helps you tune into what your nervous system is holding, so you can feel more present, more capable, and more at ease in your life.
If you’re ready for deeper support that includes both mind and body, I’d be honored to support you.
What you might be Experiencing
-
Even if the past doesn’t come up much anymore, your body still reacts. You tense up, shut down, or feel on edge without knowing why. Your mind spirals, emotions flare, and it all feels out of sync.
If you’re getting triggered more often, this might be something trauma-related, and it likely needs more than tools or talk therapy. A deeper, mind-body approach can help.

Overthinking, tension, or spirals that feel impossible to turn off. You feel it in your chest or your gut. You wonder if others can sense your anxiety, even when you’re trying hard to hold it together.
If this sounds familiar, it’s probably not something a quick fix or mindset shift can solve. This kind of stress often needs a deeper, body-based approach, one that helps you feel more capable, calm, and clear from the inside out.

You’re doing everything you’re supposed to, but inside you feel disconnected, exhausted, or like you're fading. This isn’t just about being busy. When burnout runs deep, your body feels it too. Rest doesn’t help, and even simple things start to feel overwhelming.
What’s needed is deeper support that includes your body, not just your thoughts. This kind of mind-body work helps you shift out of survival mode, rebuild capacity, and feel more present in your life again.

There’s a lot on your plate - family, work, aging parents, shifting roles. And it’s stirring up more than you expected. Old wounds or trauma you thought were behind you are being triggered by the pressure of this season.
If you can relate, a deeper, mind-body approach to therapy can help you make sense of what’s coming up and support you in ways that talking alone often can’t.

What Is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic therapy is a mind-body approach that supports the nervous system by bringing the body into the healing process. Instead of only talking about what’s wrong, we pay attention to how stress and trauma are showing up in your body and gently work to shift those patterns at a pace that feels manageable.
This approach can be especially supportive if you:
Have already tried talk therapy but still feel stuck
Notice stress in your body, like tightness, a racing heart, shallow breath, or exhaustion
React strongly or shut down, even when you don’t want to
Want to feel more present, steady, and connected to yourself
In our work, we may use Somatic Experiencing (SE) as the foundation, with the option of adding the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) or the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) when it feels supportive.
I work with adults across Florida who want something deeper than just talking things through. Somatic therapy helps create more space for relief and resilience, so you can feel more connected to yourself and live in a way that reflects your values.
